Pro tip
When naming each person make sure to provide a link to their LinkedIn profile.
The Framework
First Names of Individuals Side by Side –
This is a virtual network connection, as I think the two of you would benefit from connecting with one another.
<First Individual – First Name>,
- Reference how you met
- Something interesting about them (Especially if relevant to potential work)
- Why the connection has been beneficial to you
- Their role and maybe something they are working on
- Example –
- I met <Name> at a small dinner party hosted by <Name of event and Date> I was fascinated to learn that <Name> specialized in <Blank>. <He/She> has also written a <Blank and provide external link>, that I found interesting, based on research over years/other reason. I was impressed with their style and knew that I wanted to connect with him/her post that dinner. <He/she> was someone that I wanted in my circle.
<Second Individual – First name>
- Reference how you met
- Something interesting about them (Especially if relevant to potential work)
- Why the connection has been beneficial to you
- Their role and maybe something they are working on
- Example –
- <Name>, I met <Name> virtually/in person 2 years ago. <Name> is the <Title and Company>, a company that specializes or is known for XYZ. I admire his/her passion. I believe he/she needs your/would benefit from your <XYZ/abilities/book/work/company>\
My ideal would be for <BLANK>
Examples-
- The three of us to connect, as that may prove difficult, feel free to connect directly – as I think that <Company> would be a big help to <Company> in different ways.
- The two of you to connect as I believe there is a benefit to gain from the collaboration of ideas.
I will leave it to the two of you to connect directly and (we can/you can) take it from there.
